This has been my go-to pasta homemade tomato sauce recipe for as long as I can remember.
My Italian mom passed it on to me and it is foolproof, affordable, and incredibly delicious. Never buy a can of sauce again! Make a big batch and freeze portions if you need an even faster meal.
Serve on top of any pasta or use it as a base sauce for pizza, stuffed portobello mushrooms, puttanesca, bolognese sauce, or any other dish.

I got a great crop of tomatoes this year and plan on make some tomato sauce. Â I found you recipe and it looks easy peasy! Â Have you ever canned it?
Hi Bobbi. You would need to add acid, as it is not formulated to be safely canned. Unfortunately, I can’t give specific or recommend it. Sorry!
Hi Laura
When is the tomato paste added in this recipe. Also, is that fresh oregano or dried oregano.
