Magimix Food Processor Review

A couple weeks ago, I received a Magimix (by Robot-Coupe) 5200XL 16-Cup Food Processor to review for the blog. I have to say, I went into this giveaway a bit biased, since I’ve actually been a huge fan of the company for several years now–particularly since discovering (from my own experience) that Robot-Coupe’s are the only food processors found in any professional restaurant or kitchen.
And trust me, that alone tells you something about this brand…

I’m a firm believer in investing in good quality kitchen equipment the first time around. Especially when it comes to big ticket items like food processors. I would rather spend a bit more money and get a machine that is made to stand the test of time–and will serve me just as well ten, hopefully twenty, years down the line.
Magimix, Robot-Coupe’s first line of food processors available for home cooks (and available exclusively through Williams-Sonoma), stands by the quality of their machines so much that they now offer a 30-year-motor-warranty on all of their food processors. Every piece of this machine is actually made in Burgundy, France–true to the company’s roots.
Three Nesting Bowls (6-Cup, 12-Cup & 16-Cup) –this allows you to multi-task and do a variety of prep tasks (for various quantities of food) all at the same time, without having to clean the bowl over and over again.

I’ve never heard of Magimix before, but it does look fabulous! I’d definitely take advantage of that juicer attachment!

I’m excited about the interchangeable bowls! I have a mini as well and having the different sizes will help with different size kitchen projects as opposed to swapping out and processing food in batches. Thanks for the opportunity 🙂
I love the nesting bowls! Having to keep washing out the bowl of my food processor when I need to process more than one thing is a huge pain…and often makes me rethink making certain things! This is brilliant!
And now I’m a follower on Instagram and PInterest too! (again @FoodWineFashion).

How awesome! I would be happy to clear out some room in my cupboard for this beauty and would love to use the Juice Extractor!
Thanks!
Well, maybe the juicer would be best.
I woud love the attachments for slicing and dicing. My tiny cuisinart doesn’t have half od these options!
I want to use the juicer! That grapefruit juice looks delicious!
Oooh, I would love to try the citrus juicer attachment! I love Robot Coupes as well, we used them in culinary school, it’s exciting to see that they are making a version for home cooks.

I’ve started an herb garden, and I am looking forward to making pesto and different sauces from them. I would be using the dough blade for making herb bread.
I’ve “liked” you on Facebook and following you on Pinterest..
Thanks you for giving us this opportunity to win this wonderful Kitchen Appliance.

I like blogging over thyme and magimix on Facebook!
I’m most excited to use this to make dough! That attachment sounds awesome! 🙂
SOunds great! I am especially interested in trying the three different size bowls. I’ve got a mini food processor now, and it’s pretty much useless.
It sounds impressive. I have used Cuisinarts since they came out in the 70’s and the Magimix looks like it has solved some of the usuak food processor deficits: particularly having 3 different size bowls, a box to store and organize the blades and accessories sound like great improvements. I searched on line and cannot find a place in the US that sells it however. Do you know if it is sold here?
Exclusive to Williams-Sonoma!
