Magimix Food Processor Review

A couple weeks ago, I received a Magimix (by Robot-Coupe) 5200XL 16-Cup Food Processor to review for the blog. I have to say, I went into this giveaway a bit biased, since I’ve actually been a huge fan of the company for several years now–particularly since discovering (from my own experience) that Robot-Coupe’s are the only food processors found in any professional restaurant or kitchen.
And trust me, that alone tells you something about this brand…

I’m a firm believer in investing in good quality kitchen equipment the first time around. Especially when it comes to big ticket items like food processors. I would rather spend a bit more money and get a machine that is made to stand the test of time–and will serve me just as well ten, hopefully twenty, years down the line.
Magimix, Robot-Coupe’s first line of food processors available for home cooks (and available exclusively through Williams-Sonoma), stands by the quality of their machines so much that they now offer a 30-year-motor-warranty on all of their food processors. Every piece of this machine is actually made in Burgundy, France–true to the company’s roots.
Three Nesting Bowls (6-Cup, 12-Cup & 16-Cup) –this allows you to multi-task and do a variety of prep tasks (for various quantities of food) all at the same time, without having to clean the bowl over and over again.

The Magimix sounds awesome! I am most excited that you can bake in the mixing bowls and there’s a citrus attachment!

All the attachments are making me want it more!
I liked you on facebook. I absolutely love the compactness of this awesome machine. The storage box; OMG what a great idea. I would love love love to win this. My food prossesor broke years ago and never replaced it. Pick me; pick me please. Thanks!
The dough attachment!
I also love the idea of the three bowl sizes and all the attachments! It’s fascinating that the dough bowl will even go in the oven! I also didn’t realize that until now these machines were only available in professional kitchens. Now, would I be able to figure out how to use all the attachments and make beautiful slices and pieces of fruit and veg?
Wow the 3 bowls and citrus attachment sound like the big winners but I just love the organizing and storing ability as well. Nothing like not being able to find the right attachment when you need it
The citrus juicer portion would be awesome. We make homemade margaritas a lot with fresh squeezed lime and orange juice.
I have wanted to make my own nut butters for quite some time now, but need something with a powerful motor. I was excited to see a 30 (!!!) year warranty.
