Magimix Food Processor Review

A couple weeks ago, I received a Magimix (by Robot-Coupe) 5200XL 16-Cup Food Processor to review for the blog. I have to say, I went into this giveaway a bit biased, since I’ve actually been a huge fan of the company for several years now–particularly since discovering (from my own experience) that Robot-Coupe’s are the only food processors found in any professional restaurant or kitchen.
And trust me, that alone tells you something about this brand…

I’m a firm believer in investing in good quality kitchen equipment the first time around. Especially when it comes to big ticket items like food processors. I would rather spend a bit more money and get a machine that is made to stand the test of time–and will serve me just as well ten, hopefully twenty, years down the line.
Magimix, Robot-Coupe’s first line of food processors available for home cooks (and available exclusively through Williams-Sonoma), stands by the quality of their machines so much that they now offer a 30-year-motor-warranty on all of their food processors. Every piece of this machine is actually made in Burgundy, France–true to the company’s roots.
Three Nesting Bowls (6-Cup, 12-Cup & 16-Cup) –this allows you to multi-task and do a variety of prep tasks (for various quantities of food) all at the same time, without having to clean the bowl over and over again.

The dough blade! I have a mini food processor now that is too small to handle making pie crusts. This would cut my prep time in half and let me make more pies to share!
The dough feature and citrus juicer look like so much fun. I would love to try some really good citrus mocktails or make some nordic table bread

I would like to be able to make large quantities of ground ingredients. The chopper I use is so small, its hard to use in some recipes.

The juicer attachment sounds Great so I would love to try that!!
I have “liked” Blogging Over Thyme for a while on Facebook. I am following on Twitter as well as Pinterest. I would love to win this food processor. I too would not buy a citrus juicer on its own but if it came with something like this, I might actually use it a lot. Having a place to store the blades is nice too. My Cuisinart did not have that at all. And I definitely would get the extra dough hook, etc. I could get rid of my bread maker then!
